Primary Responsibility / Summary

Assists the Project Manager in all phases of contract performance at Government Commissary site.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Assists in directing operations and personnel to ensure efficient and profitable operations of all contract requirements, within prescribed time and funding parameters.
  2. Under the direction and guidance of the Project Manager, and in the absences of the Project Manager, uses independent judgement within the framework of government contract requirements, and implements company policies, protocols, and objectives affecting operational activities.
  3. Directs and supervises department supervisors and employees, including client-workers.
  4. Trains employees within their job scope, with emphasis on specific government rules and regulations.
  5. Ensures that all work performed meets requirement of the government Performance Work Standards and Task Analyses.
  6. Implements a Quality Assurance System to provide feedback to subordinate employees and senior managers.
  7. Completes all assigned reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  8. Inspects job performance with government representatives, and initiates corrective action on the spot whenever possible.
  9. Advises supervisor promptly whenever deficiencies are noted by government inspectors.
  10. Is thoroughly familiar with all elements of contract requirements.
  11. Maintains cooperative working relations with government managers and participates in management meetings when requested by the government.
  12. Immediately advises Project Manager when government directs changes in contract requirements.

           

Education & Experience

  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
