Primary Responsibility / Summary

The Application Specialist will be responsible for the day to day oversight of various platforms,

primarily Salesforce and Dell Boomi, to ensure that business requirements are met while also providing best practice recommendations and strong hands‐on experience with processes, building &

deployment, integration, customization, developing and maintaining custom reports and dashboards,

and training other users.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Strong technical background and experience with various platforms including but not limited to

Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Dell Boomi.

2. Understands multiple aspects of configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all

changes and potential system implications related to release upgrades.

3. In‐depth understanding of data model, schema and application development.  

4. Proficient in end‐to‐end software development methodology.

5. Maintains high‐level familiarity with other IT system /business application capabilities and scope

definition to make recommendations about potential integration.

6. Coordinate and manage database activities to support application development (cleanup, data

input, field edits, scenarios, testing, etc.).

7. Communicate system changes to users in advance so they understand the change and how to use it

prior to implementation.

8. Working knowledge of API design and development on the Cloud as well as On‐Premise


9. Develop, create and maintain reports and dashboards to ensure usability, as well as create ad‐hoc

reports as requested by user groups or stakeholders.

10. Maintain, enhance and create workflows, functions and configurations.

11. Contribute to projects and work collaboratively on the creation of solutions that support business


12. Regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process


Education & Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in relevant area (Information Systems or Computer Science preferred) or

equivalent work experience.

 3+ years of experience developing databases. (Salesforce certification(s) or heavy Trailhead

participation preferred as well as Marketing Cloud experience).

 Proficient in third‐party software integration using Boomi AtomSphere.

 Understanding of Salesforce Platform capabilities and architecture.

 Solid teamwork skills – works well with a diverse team.
