Job Description

Job Summary   The Image Scanning Associate is responsible for prepping documents and microfilm for scanning and imaging. Ensures preparation of documents for scanning and that images are accurately captured in accordance with the quality assurance standards as established with each customer’s contract specifications or statement of work. Assists training participants as needed. 

  Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Performs typical functions associated with scanning, as follows, but not limited to: prepping, data entry, scanning, indexing, quality control, uploading, and re-prepping.
2. Troubleshoots scanning and computer issues, and works with technical support to resolve issues as needed.
3. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. This includes issues with quality or condition of documents or problems that may impede the scanning process.
4. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
5. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required, such as cleaning the machine.
6. Follows all document imaging security procedures as it pertains to document or file box movement, and access to restricted areas.
7. Assists with training participants who are assigned to perform imaging or related duties as needed. 
 
 Education & Experience
 

• Min. 1 year of image scanning experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Shift flexibility and overtime when needed.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work on repetitive tasks with great attention to details.
• Some experience working with individuals with disabilities helpful.
