Job Summary

The Distribution Supervisor supervises daily activity of the inbound and outbound operations, distribution staff, and equipment operators at the assigned location. Ensures performance of staff meets established goals for efficient operation, safety, proper care of equipment, and customer service.


1. Prepares and maintains accounting and timekeeping records.
2. Cooperates in the preparation of the annual budget and performs within the budget as approved.
3. Ensures work environment is organized, safety procedures are followed, equipment is used appropriately, and housekeeping is maintained.
4. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; developing, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
5. Develops and implements productivity metrics and holds staff accountable for achieving those metrics.
6. Works with purchasing department to coordinate and oversee all inbound deliveries are received in a timely manner.
7. Ensures that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
8. Plans and administers cycle counts identifying root causes of inventory deviations.
9. This position requires a valid CA Class C driver's license; local travel throughout Southern California 25% to 50% of the time. Driving records must be acceptable by company’s insurance vendor.


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


• 5 years of supervisory experience in Distribution and or Transportation.

2. Creative problem solver, including ability to prioritize and effectively resolve multiple problems / demands on time.
3. Excellent analytical skills
4. Team player and possess good people skills to motivate team work.
5. WMS experience a plus. 6. Demonstrated abilities to plan and accomplish goals.
7. High degree of ethics and integrity.
8. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
9. Spanish / English bilingual preferred
