Job Description

This position is responsible for providing HR support to the company with regards to all aspects of HR including performance management, retention strategy, leave management, HR reporting, rewards and recognition, compensation, benefit incentive programs, employment law, policy interpretation and other HR functions as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provides support to employees and managers in the handling of all human resource related activities. Administers performance review policy and procedure and related documentation.
  2. Partners with Employee Relations Managers to effectively manage employee Leave of Absences, Short-Term Disability, FMLA requests, Workers Compensation issues, PTO issues, and unemployment claims.
  3. Provides support to HRIS application related issues through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, issue resolution, issue tracking and communication with users.
  4. Creates reports as assigned/requested.
  5. Establishes and Maintains HR systems documentation and SOP.Creates reports as assigned/requested.
  6. Assists in recruitment efforts including but not limited to:new hire and transfer processes, coordination of openings, development of job descriptions, diversity recruitment strategies and recommendations of retention strategies.  Create and monitor monthly turnover reports.
  7. Monitors and provides feedback regarding the use of policies and procedures and propose / draft policies updates as needed.
  8. Conducts wage surveys and collects wage external and internal data for purpose of recruitment trending and wage equity studies. Makes compensation suggestions as appropriate.
  9. Assists in development of benefit and recognition incentive programs.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR generalist experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with HR issues, HRIS applications, incentive plan administration, recruitment and working with compensation resources.
    • Ability to deal effectively with all levels for employees, experience in working with individual with disabilities   preferred.
    • Very strong analytical, mathematical, conceptual thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
    • Detail-oriented and have the ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Must have a strong sense of urgency and be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
    • Must be flexible and adaptable, and have the ability to stay focused and positive in a changing environment.
    • Non-profit experience and bilingual in Spanish preferred.
