Job Description

Job Summary
 

Assists drivers in loading and unloading goods, and performs a variety of material handling tasks to support the efficient operation of the department.



Responsibilities
 

1. Assist drivers on stops as needed including when backing up or driving through alleyways or awkward entrances
2. Comply with the company safety procedures
3. Report unsafe conditions to supervisor
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area
5. Load, secure and unload goods into their assigned areas
6. Ensure donation bins are properly tagged
7. Dispose of trash into auger and compactor
8. Use pallet jack to move goods
9. Present friendly, cooperative attitude to donors and general public at all times
10. Maintain well groomed appearance at all times
11. Other duties and special projects as assigned



Qualifications
 

1. Valid driver’s license preferred
2. Able to lift 50 lbs.
3. Work flexible shifts and overtime when needed



Experience

1. Prior warehouse experience preferred
2. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
3. Able to work under moderate supervision
4. Bobtail experience preferred
5. Able to read, speak and write Basic English
6. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
